Here's a guide I found looking very quickly : Īpart from that I (and any other) run Pianoteq on cheap Window's laptops. I have not tried this myself (Apple will never get me to buy their kit again !) but I'm told it's possible to run Ubuntu as a dual boot on a 10.6 Apple. Pianoteq runs perfectly on Linux (I use Linux Mint 18). I have considered purchasing one or both of the Kremsegg packages. I especially enjoy playing with the KIViR fortepianos to play early classical pieces. Is there anything obvious that I should do to really test whether it will work properly? I only use Pianoteq as an alternative to the built in Kawai sampled piano in the MP11 predominantly at night for quiet practice (I do have an acoustic for daytime use). Is there anything I should check out more carefully before paying for the upgrade? As I wrote above, it seems to work OK in trial version. At this time, I do not plan buying a newer computer to run Pianoteq for this set up so here is my question: I downloaded Pianoteq 6 trial version expecting it to not even open but, as far as I can tell, it functions properly just playing around with different piano models. I use this laptop only to run Pianoteq 5 connected to a Kawai MP11 keyboard. This seems to be the end of the line for operating systems on this old laptop and I can not install a newer version of the OS. I have Pianoteq verision 5 running on a MacBook 4,1. I was hoping someone was going to do that ! maybe they will be nice and add an AAX32bit version as well if it is easy to do. so to all of you legacy users out there still running Pro Tools 10 as I do at this time you need the old version of blue cat's patchwork plugin version 1.73 or the old version of the vienna ensemble pro software 5.4 to use it inside Pro Tools 10. it is fantastic! for me it is still a miracle how this is done! I LOVE IT!. it sounds different though and I have to say I am again overwhelmed. I hereby confirm that although officially unsupported version 6 is running as an AU plugin AND standalone without any issues. Hi there! I today purchased the upgrade to version 6 and installed it on my ancient mac pro 2,1 intel xeon quad core 2,66 GHz running legacy mac os x 10.6.8 snow leopard.
